Web System Account Interface

The Web System Account structure is set up to allow you to work together with a Team of fellow Knowledge workers, which could be Content Developers, Application Developers or simply, typical users.  Each account (in database terminology) is a Schema - and is effectively firewalled from other Accounts, their data and their users.  Traffic and quotas for the type of account that you choose are allocated in the Younicycle kernel and each account receives its own Virtual File System.  Custom scripts are run in a separate thread which excludes the possibility of impacting the Server or other Accounts.  The assumption is that Teams (Companies, ad hoc groups or even solo developers) prefer privacy as the norm.  If such a Group (an Account) chooses to share (in Social networking parlance) they can do so by choice.  Control remains in the hands of the Account - and its Team.

The Administrator (usually the Account owner) of a Web System Account is able to Add Roles, assign Privileges for those Roles - and then assign Users to a Role.  This assignment is an important feature of the Application as it determines what your users can - and cannot do. has been designed to be as powerful as possible - without degrading Security.  As a result, certain SQL commands and Actions (php) may be restricted.  If you require the full capabilities of Php - and the full capabilities of SQL, you will need to install the Younicycle Server Package.  If you do, SVN is available for immediate retrieval of current code updates. basic structure

Navigation within your Account is as consistent as possible, given the diversity of the Toolset.

Left Panel (Y-Tree-menu & Y-Chat)

  1. The Y-Tree menu (left column upon login) gives you immediate access to Objects that you have either Imported or Created within your Account.
