Web System Datasource selection

In order to create a Chart, you will need data, meaning 'numbers'.

Using a The Web System datasource for your charts

This option lets you select a datasource from a list. Tables, queries, views, and other datasources can be used as chart datasources.  After datasource selection you can select fields and data which will be used in chart generation. Modifying datasource values will change the chart.

Your original datasource may have more columns than is required for your desired chart.  To select specific Columns or Rows, click the Column header and/or the Row # - and the corresponding Column or Row will turn a light green (indicating selection).  To deselect, click again.  To Select all, click the * (upper left) of the data grid.  Note that all datasources are initially 'preset' with 7 Columns and 11 Rows.  If your datasource has > 7 Columns - and 'chart data' is in Columns 8 or greater,  you must change the Columns number to the last clumn # of the 'chart data', otherwise the chart will wrap to the next row, giving you erroneous chart output.  Do this EVEN IF YOU HAVE SELECTED (green) THE COLUMN.  This oddity will be fixed in the next vsn.

Users Values

Selecting this option lets you add your own data that will be used for generating the chart.
Simply select the radio button 'Create chart from entered data', and enter your data in the data grid.

You must also Select the data you wish to chart, by clicking the Column headers or Row#'s.  The data background will turn green if selected.  To deselect, click again.
