ACL: Manage Roles
ACL is short for - Access Control List. Look at the image below & you'll see two Roles:
- Default, which will be created automatically when you Register for an Account, and- fortutorial, which was 'just' created by Add Role. Look to the link on the left (Add Role) to see how we added this Role.
So, fortutorial is a brand new Role and at the moment, is empty of Privileges.
Manage Roles is a launch point for additional functionality. The image below explains the navigation where clicking the Icons provides a different function. A description of each can be accessed by the Grey buttons below.

4 - Delete Role. Delete a Role by clicking. If you delete a Role AND forget toreassign users of that Role to a different Role, they will NOT have Access.
3 - Assign Users. This is where you Assign Users to the Role.
2 - Edit Role. This where you make your decisions on Privileges.
1 - View Role (read only). Allows you to view the Privileges in that Role
