Sites are one of the more elaborate features in each Younicycle Account. In fact Sites contain features that are so powerful that your IT Group may choose to use Younicycle or the Younicycle Server Package to create and maintain the website(s) of your entire Company.
There are many Tools on the Web that allow the creation of Websites. Younicycle puts all the ancillary Tools within your Account, allowing a unified environment for delivery of content. Younification.
Your content can be dynamic, relevant and easily maintained. All done with a simple, visual interfaces.
It is a Content Creation AND Content Management System.
Why the Emphasis on Sites?
When most people think of a Site, they immediately conclude that it is a Website, 'on the Web'. This is not necessarily true.
When we refer to a Site, we are using a much broader term. In brief, we define a Site as a system that a User can reach by using a Browser. If the Site is on a local Server in your business office and inaccessible to the rest of the world, then it is NOT a Website in the commonly used sense. So - we are using a simple Browser as an effective, no-cost Tool to carry information. For Younicycle, it is possible that certain of your Sites may be Websites (on the Web), but equally probable would be for internal & local usage (within your local network).
You can have an Unlimited number of Sites, all served within one account or Younicycle Server Package.
Step 1:
Select New --> Site from your Main Horizontal MenuName your Project - if 'for the web' - name it the same as the Domain you have chosen. If it will be blabla.com, then name it blalbla

Choose a Master Template (Theme). You can also select a Blank Template (Theme) - then Edit that Theme at any Time.
What is a Theme? It is all the background 'stuff' that you want to create 1 Time. So any Site that has > 1 page will generally have a Theme. On the page you are currently Viewing - all of the Links to the left and at the top are part of the Theme. So, each page within this Tutorial will be consistent. 1) We can always Edit the Theme2) A Site may have multiple Themes (different styles with different links, etc)

Step 3:
Select the number of pages. Don't be concerned about being precise. You can add or delete pages later.
Step 4:
Name your pages, describe their content (meta properties & add keywords. Once again, don't worry about being precise, you can always edit later -- and probably will. That's the advantage of Content Management.

Step 5 (possibly):
If someone has given you the xml from one of their pages, you will be able to import this XML and it will automatically instantiate a new page, identical to theirs.Note - this is for xml from fellow Younicyclists.
